Roma could make a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio after his name was put to the Italian club as a possible signing.

The centre-back is expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer after struggling to make an impact since arriving from Sevilla in 2014.

The Giallorossi are looking for central defensive options given an injury to Antonio Rudiger and according to Sky Italia, Fazio's name has been put forward as an option.

Spurs are looking to offload the 29-year-old and he could fit the bill for Roma, if a deal can be done.

The defender spent time last season back on loan at Sevilla.

However, Fazio managed just four appearances for the club in La Liga and two in the Europa League, while he was not involved in the final against Liverpool.

Fazio's contract at White Hart Lane is due to run until the summer of 2018.

Since arriving at Tottenham, the Argentine has made a total of 32 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's men in all competitions.
