Axel Witsel is stalling on giving Everton an answer over whether he wishes to join them this summer as Juventus are now firmly on his tail.

The Belgium international midfielder has just a year remaining on his contract with Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg and is expected to move on from the club in the current transfer window.

Everton have been working overtime to take Witsel to Goodison Park, but the Belgian has been hard for the Toffees to pin down amid interest from Roma and Napoli.

The Premier League side have offered €30m for Witsel, while Juventus have just lodged a bid of between €18m and €20m, according to Sky Italia.

But even though Zenit consider Juventus' bid to be too low, the Italian champions are still in the mix as Witsel is interested in potentially playing for the Bianconeri.
