Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has revealed that new signing Victor Wanyama is like a big brother to him and playing alongside the former Southampton man is a good experience.

The Kenyan became Winks' team-mate last month after the Lilywhites made him their first signing of the summer, convincing him to leave St. Mary's to put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

For the 20-year-old academy recruit it is a great privilege to have the opportunity to play with Wanyama ,who shares the same position on the pitch as Winks.

Wanyama, Winks feels, is someone who has got his back on the pitch.

"Victor Wanyama is a great guy – he really helps me.

"It's like having a big brother alongside me in midfield", Winks told Spurs TV after his side's loss to Atletico Madrid on Friday.
