Leeds United could make as many as four new signings before the season starts for the club on 7th August away at QPR.

So far this season the Whites have brought in six new faces, though they have only paid transfer fees for two arrivals, in the shape of strikers Marcus Antonsson and Kemar Roofe.

With the ending of the emergency loan window, clubs in the Championship will have to use only players already on their books through until the winter window swings open in the new year.

Leeds are aiming to bolster their squad and CEO Ben Mansford feels as many as four new players could be signed before the team's first game at Loftus Road.

Backing head coach Garry Monk to make the right additions, Mansford told Radio Yorkshire at last night's home kit reveal: "I believe we will strengthen before the first game.

"I definitely believe we will strengthen with the right bits that Garry believes will improve the group.

"Not to a huge number, but maybe to add two, three or four more, before the season starts.

"But only if they improve the group and are better than what we've got", the CEO added.

Leeds could also lose a player before the window closes as left-back Charlie Taylor is refusing to extend a contract which just has a year to run.
