Amidst speculation of interest from Elland Road, the winger joined Carpi last summer, but struggled with injuries and form, which stopped him from settling down at the club.

And according to Italian outlet Quotidiano, the Brazilian has called time on his spell at Carpi, and has terminated his contract, making him a free agent this summer.

A number of Italian clubs such as Bari, Spezia and Pro Vercelli are interested in snapping him up, but Leeds have maintained their interest in the Brazilian winger.

The Whites were interested in signing him last summer, but accepted defeat to Carpi – however, with the player available again, the Yorkshire giants are keen to try their luck.
