Wojciech Szczesny is unlikely to join his Roma team-mates during their US tour as his loan from Arsenal will only be ratified next week, it has been claimed.

After weeks of negotiations, Arsenal and Roma have finally reached an agreement that would see the Pole rejoin the Giallorossi this summer on another loan deal.

The Serie A giants have reserved the right to make the 26-year-old’s move to the Stadio Olimpico permanent for a fee of around €16m, with Roma paying Szczesny’s full salary during his loan stay.

With the deal agreed, the Pole is expected to rejoin the squad soon, but according to Italian outlet Rete Sport, he won’t be joining his Roma team-mates on their US tour as the agreement is yet to be ratified.

It has been claimed that the deal will only be ratified on 1st August, and therefore Szczesny will have to wait until Roma return to Italy before he against starts training with them.
