Manchester United new boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that he will go just as hard in training as he will in games, as he seeks to keep to his philosophy.

The Swede, who became new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho's second signing this summer, is yet to play his first match in a red shirt.

The opportunity though might finally arrive when his side take to the field against Galatasaray in Gothenburg on Saturday.

The extra incentive for the former Barcelona man is that the match is going to be played in his homeland and the 34-year-old insists that he can't wait to take to the field.

Taking time to speak on his philosophy, the former Swedish international said that it is the same both on the training ground as well as on the pitch. Working and training hard is important for the striker before he can finally go on to get his rhythm back by playing games.

"I believe in working hard", Ibrahimovic told his club's official website.

"Not only in games but even in training.

"The way you train is the way you play in the games – that’s my philosophy.

"Working hard, training hard and feeling good.

"Then you need to get the rhythm by playing games."

Manchester United will play their first match of the new season against Leicester City next weekend in the FA Community Shield.
