Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is concerned about an injury picked up by Nir Bitton in his side's friendly defeat against Barcelona in Dublin this evening.

The midfielder suffered a knock to his ankle against the Catalans and may well now be a doubt for Celtic's Champions League third qualifying round second leg against FC Astana next week.

Rodgers told a press conference after the match: "It looks a nasty one.

"We will assess it over the next 24 hours."

Barcelona took the lead in Dublin through Arda Turan in the eleventh minute, before Celtic levelled when Leigh Griffiths struck in the 29th minute.

Parity did not last long however and an Efe Ambrose own goal just two minutes later put Barcelona 2-1 up.

And Barcelona then established a two-goal lead they did not let slip for the rest of the match through a goal from Munir five minutes before half time.

Rodgers however saw positive things from his side and feels Bitton's injury was the only negative to take away from the game.

"There were a lot of good moments in the game. We had some really good passages of play.

"The only negative is the injury to Bitton."
