Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe says that he is thinking about nothing else other than promotion from the Championship with the Whites this season.

The Yorkshire giants splashed out around £3m to sign Roofe from Oxford United, following a campaign which saw him crowned the League Two Player of the Season.

Roofe has shown signs of promise in pre-season for Leeds, but he is not coming to Elland Road simply to prove himself in the Championship, with the Premier League firmly in the striker's sights.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "Top six and aiming for promotion [would be a successful season].

"That's all I'm looking at", Roofe added.

The Leeds new boy may have only just made the step up from League Two to the Championship, but he already has no doubts over where he wants to be playing his football sooner rather than later.

"My end goal is to be in the Premier League.

"Hopefully I can do that with Leeds", Roofe said.

The striker is expected to be in action later today when Leeds play Atalanta in a pre-season friendly at Elland Road.
