Garry Monk has confirmed that new Leeds United signing Pablo Hernandez is available for selection against QPR this Sunday.

The former Swansea City boss takes his Leeds side to Loftus Road for the first game of their new Championship campaign and has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Hernandez has joined on loan for six months from Al Arabi, while the deal will then become permanent in the winter transfer window.

He has admitted to being behind in terms of his pre-season despite playing at Spanish side Rayo Vallecano on loan last season as the Qatari season with Al Arabi starts late.

But Monk says that Hernandez, like the rest of his squad, is available to be picked against QPR.

Asked by LUTV if Hernandez is available, Monk replied: "All of them [are available]. All the squad are available and ready for selection.

"Pablo will come in, great experience, great quality and will add to the squad.

"He will help the younger players in the squad with his experience and the way that we play.

"Delighted to get Pablo in. He's a fantastic professional as well", the Leeds boss added.

Hernandez last sampled British football in 2014 when he turned out at Monk's Swansea.
