Leeds United are working on a deal for a midfielder, whose identity remains a mystery at present.

The Whites are looking to bring Benfica B left-back Alexis Scholl in and have been holding talks to do so, but there is also another player on their list.

Indeed, while Leeds are confident of getting a deal for Scholl over the line in the coming days, the Belgian left-back could be joined through the door by a midfielder.

Club officials, according to TV Yorkshire, are working to land the midfielder, with suggestions it may be someone at Lyon, and are aiming to snap him up.

There has been no indication as to who the midfielder Leeds are chasing could be, but work is going on behind the scenes to bolster Garry Monk's squad.
