Wolfsburg have knocked back an offer for Arsenal target Julian Draxler from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The Germany international forward is angling to leave the Volkswagen Arena outfit this summer, despite only having joined the club a year ago from Schalke.

Arsenal and Juventus have both been linked with Draxler and interest in the forward is sure to hot up if Wolfsburg signal they are prepared to part with the player.

Now PSG have entered the mix as, according to Sky Italia, they have tested the water by putting in a loan offer for Draxler.

The Bundesliga outfit have wasted little time in knocking it back and PSG are now set to assess where they go from here in their pursuit of Draxler.

Wolfsburg have been firm in their desire not to part with Draxler this summer, despite the forward's demands for a move, but a substantial bid may force a rethink at the Volkswagen Arena.

Draxler made a total of 35 appearances across all competitions for Wolfsburg last season, netting nine goals and providing eight assists for his team-mates.

Wolfsburg have the 22-year-old under contract until the summer of 2020.
