Interest in Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is heating up with no fewer than three Serie A sides looking closely at the Italian's situation at Old Trafford.

The defender is increasingly appearing out of favour under new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, who left him out of the squad for Sunday's FA Community Shield match against Leicester City at Wembley.

Darmian's situation has not gone unnoticed in his homeland and according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Napoli, Juventus and Roma are all watching closely.

Whether or not Juventus firm up their interest could be dependent upon whether they need to replace Stephan Lichtsteiner, although AC Milan's Mattia de Sciglio would be their first choice.

Roma and Napoli are keen too though, meaning Darmian will have no shortage of takers if he does choose to move on from Old Trafford this summer.

Darmian was snapped up by Manchester United last summer from Italian Serie A side Torino.

The 26-year-old signed a four-year deal with an option for a further year at the club.

His fortunes have suffered though with the replacement of Louis van Gaal with Mourinho.
