Super agent Mino Raiola has denied receiving any contact from Juventus for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi this summer.

The Italian champions are working hard to find a replacement for Paul Pogba, who joined Manchester United earlier this week in a world record deal.

A number of midfielders are on their shortlist of targets, but the Bianconeri have reportedly identified PSG’s Matuidi as the man who could fill his countryman’s shoes in Turin.

There have also been suggestions that there have been tentative contacts between Raiola, Matuidi’s agent, and Juventus over a proposed transfer for the 29-year-old.

However, the Italian super agent rubbished such claims and stressed Juventus have not spoken to him this summer regarding the PSG man’s future.

“I can assure you that there is nothing in this story”, Raiola told JuveNews.eu.

“I imagine that Juventus did a survey and then the story has been picked up by the press.

“On our side there was no contact.”

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently insisted that there have been no discussions over any proposed transfer for Matuidi, and he wants the midfielder to stay at the club.

Matuidi joined PSG from Saint-Etienne in 2011, and has clocked up 240 appearances for the club.

He has a contract until 2018 with the French champions.
