Christian Benteke prefers a move to Crystal Palace over West Brom, despite the Baggies entering the race for his signature.

Liverpool are looking to offload Benteke and have been holding talks with Palace as they aim to recoup as much of the £32.5m spent to snap up the Belgium international striker from Aston Villa last summer as possible.

Crystal Palace have been confident of doing a deal, but there is no agreement yet and West Brom have now been linked with moving into the race to rival the Eagles for the striker.

However, Palace still have the advantage, it has been claimed.

Indeed, according to Belgian daily Het Laaste Nieuws, Benteke wants to move to Crystal Palace and West Brom have shown interest in the powerful hitman in the past.

Benteke believes a move to Selhurst Park would be the best option to get his career back on track as Eagles boss Alan Pardew looks to play to the striker's strengths.

While there is no agreement with Liverpool though, Palace may be vulnerable to Benteke moving elsewhere, if another club can do a deal with the Reds.
