Inter are continuing talks aimed at signing Joao Mario from Sporting Lisbon and are increasingly confident of doing a deal to take the Portugal international to the San Siro.

Mario is a man in demand this summer and Sporting Lisbon have already knocked back a bid from Liverpool for the midfielder.

Sporting Lisbon are not keen on parting with the 23-year-old, however Inter are intensifying their efforts to thrash out an agreement.

According to Sky Italia, Inter's offer is €40m plus bonuses for the Portugal star.

And this evening there have been meetings between the player's representatives and Sporting Lisbon over the offer.
