Aston Villa will announce a new signing following tomorrow's Championship game, owner Dr Tony Xia has revealed.

The Villa Park outfit are working overtime in a bid to bring in reinforcements while the summer transfer window remains open, as they look to bounce straight back up to the Premier League.

The club's need is all the greater this summer as there is no emergency loan window for Championship clubs this season, meaning the squad Villa have when the window closes is the one they must rely on until the winter window.

Xia says Aston Villa cannot complete the paperwork on their new signing before tomorrow's match against Huddersfield Town.

But the new signing will be announced after it.

"As we can't complete all paperworks before tomorrow, we'll announce after tomorrow's game!" Xia wrote on Twitter when asked when a new signing will be announced.

"Hope all you will be happy!" he added.

Aston Villa won their first game of the season at the weekend, putting Alan Stubbs' Rotherham United to the sword 3-0 at Villa Park, a result they will want to build on against Huddersfield.
