Leeds United are dragging their feet on completing the signing of Bryan Verboom from Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem, an approach which has left the Pro League side confused.

The Whites have agreed personal terms with the full-back and now Zulte Waregem are waiting for the English club to finalise the deal.

But the club and Verboom are being kept waiting by Leeds, according to Belgian daily Het Laaste Nieuws, with Zulte Waregem claimed to find the Whites' approach strange.

And it is openly being speculated about whether Leeds have got cold feet and intend to complete the deal to take Verboom to Elland Road.

Leeds have been busy in recent days, bringing in full-back Luke Ayling from Bristol City and midfielder Liam Bridcutt from Sunderland.

They have also been linked with Torino centre-back Pontus Jansson and may have other priorities at present, putting the Verboom deal on ice.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds do complete a deal for the Anderlecht youth product.

But Verboom is ready to move to Elland Road.
