The Real Madrid hierarchy have told Arsenal linked winger James Rodriguez to find a new club in the next few weeks of the window, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.

The Colombian international has seen his stock fall rapidly at Real Madrid in recent months, after a good first season at the Santiago Bernabeu following his move form Monaco in 2014.

Rodriguez has said that he wants to continue at Real Madrid this season, but Zinedine Zidane and the rest of the club hierarchy want him to leave this summer.

After falling out with Rafael Benitez last season, things have not  improved for the Colombian under new manager Zidane as he has remained a bit part player for the club.

The European champions feel it would be better for the Colombian to leave this summer for the sake of his career as he is way down the pecking order for the Real Madrid manager this season.
