Everton have burst into pole position for Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, who has been the subject of interest from Liverpool and West Ham, and it has been suggested the Toffees could close out a deal quickly.

Ghezzal has been frustrating Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas by refusing to sign a new contract and the standoff has led to the possibility that the winger may leave the club this summer.

Aulas has already confirmed receiving a bid from West Ham for the wide-man, while Liverpool have also been strongly linked.

But it is Everton who are now putting in the legwork on a potential deal and according to French magazine Le 10 Sport they could push Ghezzal's signing over the line soon.

The Toffees are pushing to do a deal and it has been suggested they are prepared to pay €13m to get their hands on Ghezzal.

Lyon though will need to sign a replacement if they allow the winger to leave, with Rennes' Paul-Georges Ntep at the top of the list.

Ghezzal, 24, sees his current contract with Lyon expire at the end of the season.

At international level he has won six caps for Algeria.
