Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits that he could take a gamble and play three of his European Championship stars against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Gunners are under pressure early in the season after losing to Liverpool at home on Sunday, and are desperate to turn things around against defending champions Leicester.

Arsenal missed Laurent Koscielny’s experience at the back as Liverpool ran rampant against an inexperienced central defensive partnership of Calum Chambers and Rob Holding, winning 4-3 on Sunday.

The Frenchman, along with Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil, were given extended breaks following their European Championship campaigns, and they returned to training recently.

However, with Arsenal under pressure to get a result, Wenger admits that he could play the trio at the King Power Stadium, but has insisted that he is yet to make a decision.

On playing the trio on Saturday, the Frenchman said in a press conference: “I have not decided yet.

“Maybe I will take a gamble on bringing them back early, but I have 48 hours to decide."

Aaron Ramsay and Alex Iwobi hobbled off after the break against Liverpool on Sunday, but Wenger expects them to be back in action after the international break next month.

On Ramsey’s injury, he said: “Two to three weeks, but it’s not a bad injury.

“It’s the same with Iwobi as well.

"They will be back after the break.”
