Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Paul Pogba is fit enough to make his second debut for the club tomorrow night against Southampton.

The Frenchman rejoined Manchester United this summer for a world record fee of £89m from Juventus and started training with the club last week.

He was suspended from Manchester United’s opening game against Bournemouth on Sunday, but is in line to make his second debut for the Red Devils at Old Trafford against Southampton.

Mourinho is confident about the amount of work Pogba has put in over the last few days, and believes he is in good condition to play a few minutes tomorrow night.

The Manchester United boss told MUTV: "We played against Leicester with players with less training than him and we saw that match as a way to improve them.

“With Paul it’s a bit the same – not one single minute of any pre-season match but almost two weeks of work with us, sometimes with the group, sometimes separately, and the condition is okay to play some minutes."

Pogba made his initial senior debut for the club against Leeds United in the League Cup in 2011, before he left the club for Juventus in 2012.

He already has three Premier League appearances under his belt, and tomorrow could be his fourth.
