Everton are talking terms with Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, it has been claimed, after agreeing a fee with Les Gones for the wide-man.

Ghezzal has just a year left to run on his contract with Lyon and has refused to put pen to paper on an extension so far, which means the Ligue 1 outfit are open to offloading him.

West Ham were confirmed by Lyon's president to have lodged an offer for the winger earlier this month, while Liverpool have been linked, but it appears Everton are working the hardest to get a deal over the line.

According to French daily Le Progres, Everton have reached an agreement with Lyon for Ghezzal, which will see the Toffees pay €11m, while also including a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

Talks are continuing to thrash out the final details, while Everton are also in discussions with the 24-year-old's representatives.

The Premier League side currently have no agreement with Ghezzal over personal terms, but it has been suggested that a deal is there to be struck.

Ghezzal has been left out of Lyon's matchday squads this season as the club remain determined not to field him without a new contract being signed.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham or Liverpool will make a late play for Ghezzal's signature.
