West Ham United are set to slap in an offer for Juventus striker Simone Zaza on Monday.

The Hammers have frequently been linked with Zaza in recent months, but a deal has often appeared to be out of reach – now though the stars are aligning for the London side.

The striker's proposed move to Wolfsburg has fallen through, while Juventus' signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli means Zaza's chances of regular first team football in Turin have not improved from last term.

Now West Ham are set to make an official proposal for Zaza, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, with it expected to arrive on Monday.

It is claimed that West Ham will offer the €25m Juventus are looking for, however the proposal will be an initial loan.

The Hammers are expected to offer a loan fee for Zaza, plus a purchase option which would take the total the Italian champions would receive if he moves permanently to €25m.

Zaza's father has insisted that his son is taking a potential move to West Ham seriously.

However, Tottenham Hotspur have also enquired about Zaza.
