Everton and West Ham United have slapped in similar offers for Napoli hitman Manolo Gabbiadini.

The striker is a man in demand this summer and the Azzurri have sent out mixed signals over whether they are prepared to sell the former Sampdoria man.

Gonzalo Higuain's departure for Juventus made Gabbiadini's stay in the south of Italy more likely, but if Napoli can land Simone Zaza then the situation will change.

And Napoli have bids on the table for Gabbiadini as, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, both Everton and West Ham have put in proposals.

It is claimed that both Premier League sides have offered €23m plus bonus payments for the striker.

Napoli want a further €3m, which should be well within reach of both Everton and West Ham.

It has been sugggested that Gabbiadini is mulling over whether he would like to move to the Premier League and if so, which club he would prefer out of Everton and West Ham.

The picture could be further muddled however by the fact that West Ham are keen on Zaza, who is Napoli's primary striking target.
