Everton are intensifying their efforts to sign Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini, with the next 24 hours tipped to be crucial to deciding his future.

The Toffees have been in contact with Napoli since Friday in an effort to understand Gabbiadini's situation and what would be needed to take him to Goodison Park.
 



In the last few hours Everton have stepped up their contact with Napoli, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, with the Toffees willing to pay the amount the Serie A side want – €25m.

However, Napoli have not ruled out tying Gabbiadini down to a new contract.
 


At present the striker and the club are far apart over a new deal, but the situation could quickly change.

And it is claimed that the next 24 hours will be crucial to deciding whether Gabbiadini is likely to head to Everton or instead commits to Napoli and signs a new deal.

Gabbiadini, who has also attracted interest from Stoke City and West Ham United this summer, struggled for game time at Napoli last term and is keen for the situation not to repeat itself.
