Tottenham Hotspur winger Clinton Njie is having last minute doubts about joining Marseille, but he is expected to make a final decision soon.

Marseille have been in talks with Tottenham for weeks for the signature of the Cameroon international, but the deal seemed to be in cold storage for a few days, before it was revived last week.

Last night, the Ligue 1 outfit and Tottenham signed the documents that would see Georges-Kevin N'Koudou move to north London, and Njie complete an initial loan deal to Marseille.

However, the long running transfer saga could have more twists in store as according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the Tottenham winger is having second thoughts about joining Marseille.

He has already agreed personal terms with the French club, and has also undergone a medical, but he has developed doubts over joining them in recent hours.

Marseille have made a poor start to the Ligue 1 season, and are 16th in the standings with just one point from their opening two games.

If the Cameroonian refuses to join Marseille, it remains to be seen whether it will have an adverse effect on N’Koudou’s imminent switch to Tottenham.

Njie's former club Lyon have also been showing an interest in re-signing him.
