Leeds United starlet Tyler Denton is unwilling to rest on his laurels, following his sparkling display on his competitive first team debut for the club in an EFL Cup game against Luton Town last night.

The young left-back, who started against the League Two outfit as Leeds boss Garry Monk fielded a revamped starting eleven, scored the only goal of the game at Kenilworth Road in the 23rd minute when his shot from edge of the area flew into the back of the net.

Despite putting in an impressive performance on his debut, Denton insists that his job is far from done as he wants to be involved in further first team action in the coming days.

“It’s just a start”, he said in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds.

“Hopefully I will be around in the next few weeks and months, and we will take it into the international break.”
