Dutch fitness coach Raymond Verheijen has again trained his guns on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for the club’s recent spate of injuries.

The 44-year-old Dutchman has been a rabid critic of Premier League managers, especially Arsene Wenger, and believes the Frenchman’s archaic training methods have led to most of Arsenal’s recent injury crises.

He trained his guns towards Klopp earlier in the summer for pushing the Liverpool players too much during early pre-season training, and recently said that the German has made a mistake by trying to enforce his high pressing style too early, which will eventually lead to more injuries.

And Verheijen got his opportunity to have a go at Klopp again when the Liverpool manager was forced to take off Emre Can and Divock Origi in the second half against Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

The Dutchman admits that he was not surprised to see Liverpool's players succumbing to injuries at Burton so early in the season.

Verheijen took to Twitter and wrote: “Liverpool players dropped like flies again in last night's League Cup game.

“Injured and cramping players AGAIN. The vicious circle continues.”

Klopp will be hoping to provide some positive news on the Liverpool duo ahead of their trip to Tottenham this Saturday.
