Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has provided a favourable response when offered the chance to make a move for Juventus striker Simone Zaza, it has been claimed.

Zaza is expected to move on from the Italian champions this summer and is a man in demand, with Southampton and West Ham keen on snapping him up, while Napoli are hoping to persuade Juventus to sell to them, despite the Bianconeri's reservations about strengthening competitors.

Now though the situation could be further complicated by the entry of Arsenal into the race.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Zaza's name has been put forward to Arsenal as an option this summer, and was given a favourable response by Wenger.

But Zaza's view on leaving Juventus for Arsenal is unclear and he could view the switch as jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
