Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Emre Can and Divock Origi are doubtful for his side’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The duo, who featured against Burton Albion in an EFL Cup game on Tuesday, picked up injuries at the Pirelli Stadium.

While Can injured his ankle and had to be replaced by Kevin Stewart in the 71st minute, Origi suffered from cramp towards the end of the game.

Although Klopp insists that the pair’s injuries are not serious, the German is unsure about their availability for Liverpool’s trip to White Hart Lane at the weekend.

“A few players are in doubt of course, but not too serious”, Klopp said in his pre-Spurs press conference this morning.

“We had a game on Tuesday and we have another game in two days again so we need to wait a little bit.

“With Emre there is nothing really serious in his ankle, but it is his ankle and he had a few problems in the past.

“It shouldn't be too long, but it could be too long for the Tottenham game, I don’t know at this moment.

"Same with Divock Origi, it is nothing serious but cramp and we have to look into it.

“So I’m not sure they'll be available.”

Liverpool, who played a full-strength team in the 5-0 win over Burton Albion, started their Premier League campaign with a 4-3 win over Arsenal earlier in the month before going down 2-0 to newly promoted Burnley last weekend.

Following Saturday’s clash with Spurs, Liverpool will play Premier League champions Leicester City after the international break.
