Arsenal have not yet held any talks over signing Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, despite being linked with swooping for the player.

Ghezzal has so far refused to sign a new contract with Lyon and Les Gones want his future resolving as his current deal expires next summer.

Lyon knocked back a bid from West Ham United earlier this month, while Everton had an offer accepted, but the winger rejected the chance to move to Goodison Park.

Talk of Arsenal's interest has been doing the rounds, but according to French magazine Le 10 Sport, the Gunners have yet to hold any talks over signing Ghezzal.

The situation could yet change in the last stretch of the transfer window, but Arsenal appear to be focusing on other targets.

That may hand West Ham a boost if they can agree a fee with Lyon, as Ghezzal is claimed to have only turned down Everton because they are not playing in Europe this season.

Ghezzal, 24, made a total of 38 appearances for Lyon last term, scoring ten goals and providing his team-mates with a further nine assists.
