Leeds United are snapping up Roma youngster Dario Vittorio Meadows.

The English born striker, who has been plying his trade in the youth ranks at Serie A giants Roma and also has Italian nationality, is set to continue his career in the Championship at Elland Road.
 



According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, Meadows is poised to link up with Leeds, having penned a new deal with Roma.

The youngster, who has turned out for Italy's Under-17 team and is soon expected to be called up by England's Under-18s, will join Leeds on loan with a purchase option for the Whites to trigger if he impresses.
 


Meadows has seen his appearances for Roma strictly limited to youth level and the 17-year-old will be looking to quickly catch the eye of Leeds head coach Garry Monk.

The Whites have a reputation for not being afraid to blood young players and Meadows will be hoping he can quickly sample the tough nature of the Championship.

Roma will no doubt keep tabs on Meadows' progress in England.

Despite being English, Meadows has never played competitive football in his homeland and may need time to adapt to the quicker tempo.
