Tottenham Hotspur have placed an offer on Crystal Palace’s table for former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha.

The 23-year-old winger rejoined Palace in 2014, initially loan, after an unsuccessful spell at Manchester United, and has been a key performer for the Eagles.

Often slammed for his inconsistency, Zaza played a major role in Palace’s run to the FA Cup final last season, and it seems he has managed to attract the attention of Tottenham.

According to the BBC, his agent has claimed that Spurs have slapped in a bid worth £15m for the England winger, and the player is keen on a switch to White Hart Lane.

The chance to play in the Champions League is a big lure for Zaha, but Crystal Palace are unwilling to sell one of their top performers from last season and are expected to play hardball.

Spurs want to add more pace to their attack this season, and Zaha is one of the Premier League based players they are looking to bring in, in the final week of window.

While Tottenham are yet to receive a response from Crystal Palace, the Eagles are expected to be tough negotiators and do everything necessary to dissuade Zaha from moving to north London.

He has a contract until 2020 with Crystal Palace.
