Tottenham Hotspur are running the risk of pricing Heung-Min Son out of a move to Wolfsburg, with firm developments over the potential transfer expected this weekend.

Wolfsburg have identified Son as a key reinforcement before the transfer window slams shut this summer and are working on snapping up the former Bayer Leverkusen man.

Son, who has positive memories of his time in German football, is keen to move to the Volkswagen Arena.

But according to German daily the Wolfsburger Allgemeine, the price Spurs are demanding for Son is risking derailing the move.

The White Hart Lane club want to realise €30m from selling Son from Wolfsburg, a fee which the Bundesliga club feel is too high.

It is suggested that the weekend will prove to be a crucial time for the potential deal, ahead of the closure of the transfer window next week.

Spurs snapped up the 24-year-old from Bayer Leverkusen just last year, splashing out €30m to sign the South Korea international.

He made 42 appearances for the north London side last season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.
