Leeds United assistant manager Pep Clotet has stressed the importance of preparation, ahead of his side’s Championship clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, warning there are no shortcuts to success.

The Whites, who edged out Luton Town 1-0 earlier in the week to progress to the third round of the EFL Cup, are now unbeaten in three games in all competitions.

Leeds started their league campaign with losses against Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City before opening their account in the Championship with a 1-1 draw with Fulham earlier in the month.

The Yorkshire giants then recorded their first victory in the league this season by beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 last weekend.

And Clotet, who joined Garry Monk’s staff at Leeds as assistant head coach in June, underlined the importance of training hard.
