Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has stressed the need for his side to get their game plan going against Liverpool because anything can happen in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites are scheduled to take on the Reds in their third league game of the season and their second at White Hart Lane, this Saturday.

The Danish international, who saw his team-mate Victor Wanyama secure a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace last weekend, now hopes that they will be able to record their second win in a row against Jurgen Klopp's team.

Speaking about their opponents, the 24-year-old said that coming straight off a loss against Burnley the Reds might be looking to hit back. But the Premier League is a league where anything can happen on any given day.

And therefore what the hosts will try to do is to implement the right game plan and try and come away with all three points, the Dane says.

“Hopefully we’ll take the upper hand, keep our home crowd going and keep doing like we did last Saturday – just keep the same energy and hopefully score some goals a bit earlier”, Eriksen told his club's official website.

“Every game is different, of course. Liverpool lost at Burnley last week so anything can happen.

"You know in the Premier League that’s the case but they have a big squad.

“For us, it’s about getting our game plan going and getting the points.”
