Leeds United loan signing Dario Meadows has spoken about his preference towards performing different roles and insists that he will be looking to making full use of his versatility for the Whites.

The Roma youngster joined the Championship side on a season-long loan deal on Friday and will primarily be plying his trade with the Development Squad.




Expressing his delight at having had the chance to head to England, the place where he was born, and being given the chance to play for Leeds, the youngster said that it is exciting for him.

“I’ve played for AS Roma for eight years and now I’m excited for this opportunity on loan at Leeds United", Meadows told his club's official website.
 


The 17-year-old also took time to speak about his versatility, highlighting the different roles he can perform on the pitch and his eagerness to do the same for his new side.

“I’ve played in a lot of positions for Roma but my dominant position is probably a winger – I’ve played for the national team at Under-16s as a winger, so that’s probably my best position.

“But I’ve also played at full-back and in attacking midfield, so I can play in different positions.”

The winger's father is English, while his mother is Italian. And Meadows joined Roma's youth ranks after moving to Italy at the age of six.
