Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Gunners have done deals for defender Shkodran Mustafi and striker Lucas Perez, with the pair set to link up with their new team-mates.

The Gunners are dipping into the transfer market for reinforcements with centre-back Mustafi due to arrive from Valencia for €41m, while hitman Perez is to arrive from Deportivo La Coruna for €20m.

Wenger, speaking following Arsenal's 3-1 Premier League win away at Watford on Saturday afternoon, confirmed that his side have snapped up the duo.

The Frenchman explained on Sky Sports News HQ: "We have bought two players, Mustafi and Perez.

"They will integrate into the team now and we will help them join the squad", Wenger continued.

"We had to work very hard to get signings done.

"We have not got any plans for anyone else now."

Wenger's words indicate that Arsenal may have finished their transfer business for the summer, but it remains to be seen whether the club's additions will be enough to power a title challenge.

Arsenal's victory at Watford was their first of the new Premier League season, following a home defeat to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool and a draw away at champions Leicester City.
