Inter technical director Piero Ausilio has ruled out selling Arsenal and Chelsea target Marcelo Brozovic before the transfer window slams shut.

The Nerazzurri have been claimed to be looking to offload Croatia international schemer Brozovic after making a series of big-money buys as they seek to balance the books.

Brozovic's agent confirmed that Arsenal and Chelsea are in the mix for his client, but Ausilio appears to have slammed the door on a move away from the San Siro.

The technical director explained to Sport Mediaset Premium: "We think Brozovic is helpful to Inter and I have always said that he will stay.

"He must just be calmer and get more into the project. But in three days it will be quieter too. He'll stay with us", Ausilio added.

It remains to be seen whether a substantial bid from a Premier League side for Brozovic could force a rethink at the San Siro as Inter have been claimed to value the Croatia international at the €25m mark, a figure well within reach for both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Inter snapped up the 23-year-old midfielder, initially on loan, from Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb in the 2015 winter transfer window.
