Everton are ready to seal a deal for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini on the basis of a €23m fee plus €2m in bonus payments, with a further indication a switch could be close coming in the form of last season's Serie A runners-up targeting a replacement.

The Toffees have been chasing the Italian marksman over the last week and at the weekend Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri insisted the decision over a move must be made by the striker himself.

He now seems closer than ever to moving to Everton, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, and the deal could be done with the Toffees paying €23m plus a further €2m in bonus payments.

And in another sign that a move to Merseyside could be close for Gabbiadini, Napoli are focusing in on Leonardo Pavoletti as a replacement.

Pavoletti, who has just been called into the senior Italy squad, currently plies his trade for Genoa.

Genoa are looking for €20m in order to sell Pavoletti so late in the transfer window.

But talks are continuing between both clubs to find an agreement, something which could then finally release Gabbiadini to join Everton.

Gabbiadini has also interested Stoke City and West Ham United.
