Leeds United's hopes of signing another midfielder hinge on whether they can offload Luke Murphy and Toumani Diagouraga, it has been claimed.

The Yorkshire giants have already brought in ten new players this summer, however they have made a poor start to the season under new head coach Garry Monk.

The former Swansea City manager wants further additions made before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night, but while a striker is wanted, his chances of adding a midfielder are reliant on departures.

According to Radio Yorkshire, Leeds need to offload Murphy, who has been linked with Sheffield United, and Diagouraga, who has been linked with Rangers.

As such, Monk appears to be relying on other clubs to move for his players before he can swoop to bring in another midfielder.
