Gokhan Inler has agreed personal terms with Turkish giants Besiktas, making a move to Marseille unlikely for the Switzerland international.

The midfielder is expected to leave Leicester City before the window slams shut on Wednesday, but the terms of his departure are unclear.

Marseille have been looking to take Inler to France, but according to Swiss daily Blick, the midfielder instead has an agreement in place with Besiktas.

However, the Turkish champions have yet to close out a deal with Leicester for Inler.

Leicester snapped up the midfielder from Italian Serie A side Napoli last year, but the move has not worked out well for the 32-year-old.

Inler struggled to break into the Foxes side and was a fringe player last term as the club won the Premier League title.

Now he is looking to move on to get his career back on track.

A move to Besiktas will mean Champions League football and the Black Eagles have been placed in Group B alongside Benfica, Napoli and Dynamo Kyiv.
