Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola has received a negative response from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis over the chance to sign the Liverpool outcast, according to Italian daily Il Mattino.

The striker, who joined Liverpool from AC Milan in 2014, is not favoured by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, with the Italian training with the reserves.

Balotelli has been heavily linked with quitting Liverpool in the summer, with a host of clubs including Nice, Bordeaux, Bologna and Palermo linked with snapping up the forward.

However, Raiola, who previously made attempts to offer Balotelli to Napoli, is set to be disappointed again.

De Laurentiis remains reluctant to sign Balotelli because of the 26-year-old’s high salary.
