Sevilla are launching a late push to convince Inter to sell midfielder Gary Medel, who has also been linked with Liverpool this summer.

Los Rojiblancos head coach Jorge Sampaoli has set his heart on adding Medel to his squad before the transfer window slams shut, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

Sampaoli is claimed to have put the midfielder's name at the top of the shortlist of players he wants to snap up this summer – but time is running out.

However, if Inter signal they are willing to play ball over Medel then they could have opposition from Liverpool.

The Reds were strongly linked with the Chile international earlier this month, while Inter knocked back a bid for Medel.
