France Under-19 star Lucas Tousart is expected to continue at Lyon this season, despite interest from Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

The young defensive midfielder captained France in the European Under-19 Championship earlier this year, and played a key role in his country winning the competition.

A product of the Valenciennes academy, Lyon snapped him up last summer, and while he made just one senior appearance last season, his performances in the Under-19 European Championship caught the eye of clubs across Europe.

French clubs such as Lorient, Nancy and Angers are interested in him and it has been claimed that even Crystal Palace are looking to snare away the young talent from Lyon this summer.

However, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Lyon have managed to convince Tousart to continue at the club, and the midfielder is not expected to leave the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
