Napoli are considering a move for Manchester City outcast Wilfried Bony as a replacement for Everton target Manolo Gabbiadini.

Everton have been pushing to sign the Italy forward from Napoli over the last few weeks, but the Serie A side will only sell Gabbiadini once they get a replacement.

Napoli are reluctant to sell one of their key performers before lining up a replacement, and it seems the club have identified the player who could fill the 24-year-old’s shoes.

According to Sky Italia, the Naples club are looking at the option of snapping up Manchester City striker Bony as a replacement for Gabbiadini, who is pushing for a move to England.

Bony is available in the market as Pep Guardiola has frozen him out of his first team plans for Manchester City this season, and the club are looking to offload the Ivorian forward.

A move to Italy could be on the cards as Bony is keen to play first team football and might accept the chance to join Napoli rather than rot in the reserves at Manchester City.

The 27-year-old forward joined Manchester City from Swansea in January last year, and has always struggled to nail down a starting spot at the Etihad.

And his speculated move to Napoli is expected to open the track for Everton to snap up Gabbiadini.
