Sunderland and Hull City are keeping tabs on Saint-Etienne defender Florentin Pogba, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

The 26-year-old is the elder brother of Paul Pogba, who recently smashed the world transfer record by rejoining Manchester United from Juventus in a £89m deal.

Florentin now may also follow his brother to the Premier League, with Sunderland and Hull City interested in snapping him up.

The Tigers, who are waiting for a takeover of the club, are in serious need of players to boost their depleted squad.

On the other hand, Sunderland are keen to snap up the Guinea international if Lamine Kone quits the club for Everton; Sunderland have though been keen to make sure Kone stays put.

However, Saint-Etienne are not prepared to lose the defender, who has a further two years left on his present contract with the club.

Florentin, who joined Saint-Etienne from Sedan in 2012, represented France up to Under-20 level before deciding to change his allegiance to Guinea.
