Aston Villa are still in the market for a player on deadline day, but are unlikely to move for former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison.

The Villans have been busy this summer to restock their squad in order to challenge for promotion, and pulled off another deal yesterday when they signed Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City.




While Dr Tony Xia and his men are not expecting heavy traffic on deadline day, the club are still in the market for a player, and according to the BBC are looking to sign someone on loan or permanently.

A number of players have been linked with a move to Villa on deadline day, including Morrison, who Lazio are looking to get off their books before the window shuts down.
 


And despite Villa being mentioned as one of the clubs being interested in bringing in the former Manchester United and West Ham man, they are unlikely to make a move for him today.

Villa have also been linked with making a bid for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga, but the 23-year-old is not expected to walk through the door at Villa Park today.

The Midlands club are still in the market for a player, but it remains to be seen whether they can pull off one last deal in the final hours of the window.
