Roma appear to have had their hopes of signing Jack Wilshere from Arsenal on loan ended after it was claimed the midfielder wants to remain in England.

Arsenal have made Wilshere available on a season-long loan deal and he is being chased by Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Roma.

Roma reached an agreement with Wilshere's representatives over personal terms earlier today and then set about holding talks to reach a deal with Arsenal.

But according to Sky Italia, the midfielder has decided he wants to stay in the UK.

As such, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace's chances of signing Wilshere have received a giant shot in the arm.
